Consumable product line
BB Technical Service provides four different range of products:
- SW: consumables selected by BB Technical Service and approved by Faiveley Transport Italy for applications on pneumatic parts. Download a PDF version of Faiveley approvals.
- SP: consumables selected by BB Technical Service and approved by SPII for applications on electromechanical components. Download a PDF version of SPII approvals.
- CP: consumables selected by BB Technical Service and approved by Production Group for applications on pantographs and train front-head.
- TS: multipurpose consumables selected and tested by BB Technical Service.
It eliminates electrical dispersions caused by both dampness and condensation.
SW487 is characterized by an high cleaning grade together
with specific hydro repellant qualities. It penetrates even themost inaccessible
spots, it removes impurities and lubricates mechanical connections
improving their functionality. It release a greasy and oily
protective film on connections in order to prevent rust and oxides. SW
487 is the product suggested by Faiveley Transport to be used on the
equipments exposed to dampness like signal connectors of electric engines,
78 pin connector cables, temperature sensors, batteries, and in
general on electrical engines, transformers, electric boards, relays,
clamps, valves, fuses. PACKAGES: Aerosol 500 ml. - Boxes of 12 pcs.

It is a fully synthetic grease based on synthetic hydrocarbons. It is endowed
with antioxidant and antirust
properties, suitable for long
relubrication intervals with wide
spectrum of working temperatures.
SW 551 is suggested by Faiveley
Transport for the lubrication
of the sliding posts of selector valves,
in particular the ones employed
in the compressed air
dryers. It promotes the optimal
sliding of the posts, prevents wearings,
preserves seals keeping
them intact and even after a long
period assures its presence with
a slight film of lubricant. It also
preserves metals from corrosions.

Further information
It seals against gas, water, potable water, LPG, hydrocarbons, oils
and other chemicals. It replaces PTFE tape and yarn. Its low friction
grade assures an easy assembling, while thixotropic property prevents
migration from thread of
the sealant before or during curing.
After the polymerisation, it
ensures a medium strenght lock.
Shocks and vibrations resistant,
unaffected sealing properties in
the temperature range from -50
to +150°C and upkeeps seal
locking up to 230°C for short
period. SW 820 is suggested by
Faiveley Transport for threaded
junctions of the pneumatic
hoses on rail vehicles.

Low strength anaerobic adhesive for thread locking of nuts, bolts and
screws of all types that require to be easily dismantled.Highly resistant
to heat, corrosion, vibrations, water, gases, oils, hydrocarbons, refrigerant
fluid and many chemicals. SW 821 is suggested by Faiveley
Transport for low strength thread locking like pressure regulators, filters,
setting valves, etc.

Medium strength anaerobic adhesive for sealing hydraulic and pneumatic
threads connectors up to ¾” and small pipes. To replace
P.T.F.E. tapes in the sealing of gases, water, LPG, hydrocarbons, oils
and other chemicals. It requires no special tools for disassembling.
Highly resistant to heat, corrosion, shocks and vibrations. SW 822 is
suggested by Faiveley Transport for sealing hydraulic and pneumatic
threads connectors of rail vehicles.

Further information
It provides an elastic film resistant to shocks and vibrations, oils and
fuels, LPG, water, glycols and many industrial
chemicals; unaffected sealing
properties in the temperature range
from -50 to +150°C. Suitable for the
sealing of boxes containing mechanical
particulars like gears, pumps engine
flanges, transmissions,
differentials and threaded joints. It can
substitute preformed gaskets, it provides
wider working tolerances, assures
metal to metal contact and it doesn’t
require special tools for disassembling.
SW 823 is suggested by Faiveley Transport
for sealing pneumatic equipments
when the required gasket is not
available or it is slightly damaged.

Further information
It is recommended for permanent locking of studs, nuts, screws and
any threaded fasteners. It can be used on every kind of metal and linkage.
SW 824 prevents from loosening caused by vibration, mechanical
and thermal shock and it also inhibits fretting corrosion while
protecting from the seizure and galling. SW 824 is suggested by Faiveley
Transport for stud locking of piston compressor units and for all
those flanged pneumatic equipments.

Further information
It has been approved for thread sealing of gas hose (DVGW nr. NG-
5146AU0399) European norm EN 751-1 and potable water (KTW -
DVGW). Suitable to be used
on oily surfaces. Highly resistant
to heat, corrosion, vibrations,
water, gas, oils,
hydrocarbons and many
chemicals. Also to be used
as a thread sealant in the
temperature range -55°
+150°C and upkeeps sealing
properties (DIN EN 751-
1) up to +200°C. SW 825 is
suggested, by Faiveley Transport,
for the sealant of
pneumatics and hydraulics
hoses, for screw and piston
compressors.

It is specially recommended for detecting air/gas leakages on pneumatic
and air conditioning equipments.

It is suggested by Faiveley Transport for air producing compressors
washing operations. It can be also used to wash hydraulic equipments,
motors and other several industrial applications. SW 447 is recommended
for the on board cleaning of air compressors units on rail vehicles.
